I want to start by saying this was the third SAT tutor we tried in a short time period to prep my daughter. The first my daughter felt moved too slow, and she recognized wouldn’t be of help after first session. Evan had 4 weeks to prep my daughter for SAT. She started out with a 1240. By her last practice test, she scored 1400. When it was time for the actual test, she said she found his tutoring so helpful. She mentioned there was a math problem she found difficult on actual test, she went back to it and remembered Evan did the exact type of problem with her and she remembered his words while solving it. She came out of SAT saying it was the easiest math section she ever had including all practices. She also mentioned when doing reading passages, he taught her a way to break down the passage and answer questions that was extremely helpful for the test. My son needed help in Geometry. He loves football and to stay with the team he had to pass his test. We needed a tutor and needed it now. I hired a tutor and I am sure she was good but it was not the right match for my son. She made it sound like there was no hope for my son and to turn him around it was going to take a long long time. My son refused to work with her and said he did not care for another tutor.
